World Cup 2010 | Didier Drogba set to rejoin Ivory Coast squad tomorrow

World Cup 2010 | Didier Drogba set to rejoin Ivory Coast squad tomorrow: "

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba is all set to join up with the Ivory Coast squad tomorrow after successful surgery on a fractured arm, the Ivorian Football Federation said in a statement today.

But they have not given any indication to the players fitness and if he will be playing any time soon.

Drogba fractured the ulna of his right forearm in a warm-up match against Japan in Switzerland last weekend and was quickly rushed off into surgery in Berne the following day.

'His recovery has been extremely encouraging. It is suggested that, at this stage, all the signs are good and there is great hope the captain of the Elephants will be in action with his team-mates as soon as possible,' Ivorian Football Federation spokesman Roger Kouassi said.

Ivory Coast play in Group G alongside Portugal, Brazil and Korea DPR. They will fancy their chances but they will need Drogba - many will be hoping he can play."
